DEBUNKING THE MYTHS OF VOUCHERS: 

Several Facts You Need To Know -

School vouchers are usually not available to all poor children:

The majority of poor children will not receive school vouchers.

School vouchers do not usually help cover all the tuition and other costs of attending a private school.

Having a voucher does not guarantee admission to the private school of your choice.

School vouchers will not get elitist private schools to welcome your child with open arms.

School vouchers will not help the majority of poor children, who will likely remain behind in public schools.

Money invested in vouchers could be invested in creating copies of the 'good public schools'.

School vouchers will hurt our ability to attract the best teachers to our school system by investing money in private schools instead of teachers of public schools.

An Arizona State University report finds that school vouchers do not work. Moreover the study asserts that vouchers do not produce any significant academic benefit.  Rather, the biggest accomplishment of vouchers is to widen the disparity between resources available to lower income and middle income students.
